NPCW 2013 Received Postcards Map #NPCW2013

I have received (for sent card stats click here) 59 postcards from 21 states already for National Postcard Week 2013 - woohoo!  Yesterday was by far my happiest mail day as you can see:

Somehow I got on the portion of the mailing list for people who like their postcards in envelopes.  I probably forgot to tell Demaris my preference (which is usually naked / stamped) - but all worked out well in the long run and I am enjoying receiving envelopes in the mail just as much as naked postcards.

Happy National Postcard Week everyone!

I am uploading images of postcards that I receive throughout the week (and perhaps a little before since there were early birds, and a little after since there will be procrastinators).  You can see them all here in flickr.

Friday Philosophy: Keep Calm...

States that I am sending postcards to for NPCW 2013

 Keep Calm and Send Postcards.  That is my mantra for the week as I prepare and send 100 postcards for National Postcard Week. 

A little more than half of the recipients have requested their postcards in envelopes, thus the two stacks.  I am sending postcards to 32 states and 3 countries outside of the USA. 


I have already started receiving postcards and will post those pictures here on flickr.

NPCW 2013 (aka National Postcard Week)

National Postcard Week was started 30 years ago to celebrate deltiology. Individuals and clubs participate, each creating their own unique postcard. **Soon there will be a website with images of the 3000+ postcards that have been collected over the years. There is a gallery of past postcards here at Barr's Postcard News, but it appears to be for subscribers only.

It's time to start making your cards and get signed up for National Postcard Week. I pasted her instructions below. There are two ways to join - either email Demaris (address below) or you can sign up though Swap Bot (http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/141926) - skip past the break to see instructions ↓

I signed up and have 100 cards printed and ready to send. Want to trade? Leave me a comment below that you are interested and make sure Demaris adds your address to the database.
